Does Allah really value women?
Written by: Poma
“A Girl came out of man’s Rib. Not from his Feet to be walked on, nor from his head to be superior over, but from his side to be equal, under the arm to be protected and next to the heart to be loved.”
The above quote is really so refreshing, it really shows how to care and value the women.
In this article I will restrict myself to the above mentioned topic. Since my childhood I have always heard from my Muslim neighbors that in Islam the value given to women is unprecedented in all cultures or religions. That no other religion gives that much value to the women as Islam gives. Being raised a non-Muslim from a predominantly Muslim country, and having seen with my own eyes about the plight of Muslim women (muslimahs) in this country of my birth, I deeply knew that what my neighbors were talking stems from the fact that they were and are still ignorant of other religions or cultures. I have no intention whatsoever of making a comparative analysis between Islam and other religions. I am here only to write about what the “only true” and the supposedly a “mercy” to mankind religion teaches us about women.

Lees verder...The 751 No-Go Zones of France

What are they? Those places in France that the French state does not control. They range from two zones in the medieval town of Carcassone to twelve in the heavily Muslim town of Marseilles, with hardly a town in France lacking in its ZUS. The ZUS came into existence in late 1996 and according to a 2004 estimate, nearly 5 million people live in them.
Comment: A more precise name for these zones would be Dar al-Islam, the place where Muslims rule. (November 14, 2006)
Nov. 28, 2006 update: For an insight into how bad things are, the police in Lyons demonstrated on Nov. 9, denouncing "violence against the forces of order." Things have reached a pretty sad state when the police have to demonstrate in the streets against the criminals.
Jan. 5, 2008 update: In a remarkable statement, Michael Nazir-Ali, the Pakistani-born bishop of Rochester, writes in the Daily Telegraph about the situation in Great Britain:

Srebrenica — Neither Massacre, Nor Genocide
“After 14 years of investigating events that took place in Srebrenica in 1995 I can attest there was no genocide over Muslims in that enclave — the myth about the massacre of Muslims was invented by the late Bosnian Muslim war leader Alija Izetbegović and then-U.S. president Bill Clinton,” Swiss researcher Alexander Dorin, author of the book Srebrenica — The History of Salon Racism (Srebrenica — die Geschichte eines salonfahigen Rassismus) told Belgrade daily Press in an exclusive interview.
He added that, contrary to the popular mythology still dominating Western mainstream media, Muslims who lost their lives in Srebrenica were grown men rather than “boys”, and have been gunned down while fighting against the Bosnian Serb Army. Which, as he points out, can in no way be equated with a massacre, let alone “genocide”.
- After many years of investigating the war events in and around Srebrenica, I have reached a definite conclusion that there was no genocide. In July 1995, as the town was being taken over by the Serb forces, some 2,000 Muslim men lost their lives — not 8,000 as the Bosnian Muslim propaganda machinery claims, with the backing of certain Western politicians and media. Those 2,000 men fell in a battle against the Serbian Army, while they were breaking through to Tuzla. “Srebrenica genocide” is Izetbegović’s and Clinton’s invention, – Dorin said.
